Doug Sheldon, a prominent international artist manager for over 50 years, is renowned for orchestral tours with conductors like Kurt Masur, Lorin Maazel, and Valery Gergiev. He has worked extensively with major orchestras including the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Symphony, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and Cleveland Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, State Symphony of Russia, Mariinsky Orchestra as well as Sejong Soloists and Midori & Festival Strings Lucerne, Daniel Hope & Gstaad Festival Orchestra.
After 50 years at Columbia Artists, Sheldon founded Sheldon Artist LLC in 2019, continuing his 37-year representation of Anne-Sophie Mutter. His current roster includes violinists Gidon Kremer, Kyung Wha Chung, and Vadim Repin, pianists Yulianna Avdeeva, Claire Huangci, Tom Borrow, Hayato Sumino and conductors Dennis Russell Davies, Constantine Orbelian and Alondra de la Parra.
Sheldon Artists also manages upcoming tours for the London Symphony with Antonio Pappano, Seoul Philharmonic with Jaap van Zweden, and the Mutter Virtuosi. Mr. Sheldon served as Vice Chair of the White Nights Foundation of America for 10 years, and has led St. Peters Church Choir for 45 years, conducts the Baldwin Choir of New York and the Hamilton College Male reunion Choir, and is in his 11th year as President of his public school alumni association.
